If a client signs up to CI Direct Investing without clicking on the link in your email invitation or personal Sign-Up Link, you won't be associated with their account.
Note that if the client has not signed up yet, you can refer to the links above. To link a client that has already signed up but is not associated with your PPI Valet account, you can follow the steps below.
1. Log in to ppivalet.ca
2. Hit the 'Invite Client' button on the top right
3. Fill out the client details in the fields below and send them an invitation. You can also edit the message that gets sent along with this invitation as needed.
4. Your client will then receive the following email.
5. Once they click 'Open an Account', it will take them to the 'Sign Up' screen below. Please note that if they enter their email and password on this screen they will get the error 'Email has already been taken' as they already have an existing account. To proceed, they need to click the 'Sign in' button to get to the correct screen.
6. Once they are redirected to the 'Sign In' page, they just need to complete the email and password fields before clicking 'Sign in'.
7. After this, the client will agree to your Service Fee and the Financial Planning Services Fee Agreement.
8. Once the client selects 'Agree and Continue', they will be directed to the Account Opening Process.
9. In the event the client clicks 'Decline', they will be encouraged to get in contact with you or CI Direct Investing to answer any questions or concerns they have. If they still proceed to decline the offer, you will be notified and the status on your PPI Valet dashboard will show 'Declined'.

What happens if there is another representative already associated with the account?
